It works for thin paper items but I bought it for organizing holiday, etc. cards and it wasn't thick enough for those to fit.

This book is fantastic! It is well made and even comes with gel pens and stencils. I ordered this to make a memory book for my husbands 40th birthday so I filled it with pictures and comments. The pages are black and heavy card stock and very sturdy. He loved it!!
