Great story’s, great animations and most importantly great characters/real people but whatever. I personally feel this book should be a nominee at the least for some type of book award.

Very very funny book and right on content for what you see/hear on You Tube. It's SUPER disconcerting that this is not voiced by the author though. There should be a big honking disclaimer before you buy the Kindle edition.

Most of it is scripts from the YouTube channel but.. I do rewatch the channel videos so I can’t say that is a bad thing. I liked it,.

Jame Rallison has been wildly successful running a YouTube channel with the same name as this book that explores his offbeat, eclectic views on the world.If you like the YouTube channel then you are going to absolutely love this book.This is a written book (chapter book really) written in a Middle Grade style that has a good number of colored illustrations. So this is not a graphic novel or comic book, which is what you might be expecting given that James is a cartoonist/animator.If you are new to James' sketches and humor, you have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy them. I kind of view James as a millennial Gary Larson.This book talks about his growing up, and James does not spare us views into Skittles' vomit being multicolored to "not looking" when naked classmates are prancing by in gym class to pet moths being eaten by birds in front of a class of five year olds.James says things like "back then I believed parents knew best" and "back then I thought teachers knew best." So, you are getting a 20-30 something view of the world.I did not find any grossly objectionable material for anyone 10+. Some of the jokes about dying pets, vomit, ... might be a little on the mature side for the youngest of readers. (On the other hand, they probably won't want to read a chapter book either.)All in all, this was always fun, often funny, and ever insightful view of James' world.

This book was very good but I'm not giving five stars because alot the things in the book were also in his videos but I still really enjoyed the book.

This is my favourite book. I like it because it's funny, relatable in a lot of ways and has great cartoon pictures. I don't normally like reading and have to be forced but I read this book really fast and my mum couldn't believe I was reading without her making me. If you like his YouTube videos you will love this book. Because each chapter is a short story it keeps you interested if you're like me and get bored quickly with books. His stories are always funny and I laughed a lot.

My 9 year old sister has long been a major fan of TheOddOnesOut YouTube channel and the moment she informed me he had a book out I knew exactly what to get her for her 10th birthday.I ordered this and received it next day, she was given it early by myself and she completed it within a few hours and read it only a few times since.My only complaint and the reason it is not 5 stars is the length of the book itself. Which is a little short but that is to be expected from a comic like format of which this is.If you're a fan of the YouTube channel buy this book, it's very literally the written version of his channel with all the same gaga and outlooks on life from a generation that many within feel like an odd one out.

I discovered TheOdd1sOut thanks to a friend who passed me a link to one of his YouTube videos, ages ago. I enjoyed it so much, I pretty much watched every single video he had posted that same day! And then the comics! I’m so happy James has published this book - it allowed me to revisit some of my favourite stories, and also read other stories he’s never told before! I’ve literally laughed out loud while reading this book and I recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a fan of James’ work or if it’s the first time you’ve heard of him! I’m also extremely excited to buy this book, to show my appreciation for TheOdd1sOut and support the artist who has given me countless hours of smiles and giggles. Thank you, James! :)

My 11 year old son loves the book and he has a strong dislike for reading. He basically demanded I pre ordered this when he found out about the book. He loves James and his YouTube channel.

now if your a parent instead of reading other parent comments take the advice from a 11 yr old :) . This book is quite hilarious and is relatable in so many ways , this book is great for anyone you dont even have to watch is chanel to read this. i recomend it for anone child over the age of 3. Hope this helped <3
