Spectra Premium CU2294 Complete Radiator

This is a decent aftermarket radiator. Original radiator in my durango was starting to leak as the plastic caps on the end would seperate once the system built up pressure. I did a lot of research on the different brands valeo which is oem spectra etc most of them have bad reviews with leaks and trans cooler lines not fitting. I settled on the spectra it is a common replacement part you will get from a small mom n pop garage. Bix it came in was less than stellar smashed and had holes in it one side had a 3 inch wide gash in it the full length of the box that was taped over. Radiator was unharmed no bent fins ir anything. Installed this last weekend and had no issues took about an hour or so to do it right, half the bolts on the old assembly and electric fan broke the nuts that wete seated in plastic for them spun in the plastic. Other than that it no issues no leaks yet. Only time will tell

I installed it in a 2001 Dodge Dakota SLT, Quad Cab, 4.7L V-8 2WD. It came with all necessary screw clips and nuts for attachment, brand new rubber vibration grommets at the top and the rubber feet that settles it into the frame. Nothing but the mounting screws had to be reused. Everything lined up perfectly, it slid right in and bolted up with no problems. I did not have to make any modifications to anything. My truck is running fine now. And, while I was in there, I replaced my serp. belt, belt tensioner, and completely flushed out the engine and heater coil, which has made my cabin air heater even hotter than before. It's almost intolerable. It has no leaks and I couldn't be happier. I hope it holds up and lasts longer than the TYR I had someone install several years ago. Time will tell.

received the item in 2 days very quick. item fit but being a generic radiator it was missing one of the mounting tabs for the transmission cooler lines. it also said it was the one for my truck, but it has transmission coolers in the radiator but my truck has a transmission cooler that mounts in front of the radiator, so not exactly the one. but was able to keep the trans cooler plugs in and not use them and then mount the transmission cooler lines to another area as there was no mount in that area.so if you have a remote trans cooler it will work just don't use the one on the new radiator and fasten the upper trans line somewhere else.

My ease of installation rating is more about the truck itself than it is about this product. The radiator is held in place by being sandwiched between all the things on either side of it which are in turn bolted to a subframe that is bolted to another subframe that is bolted to something else. The radiator itself is top of the line and if I ever had any need for another one I would get it.

The item was received with some dents to the core of the radiator, these damages was obviously sustained during packaging... fortunately the dents did not cause the radiator to leak so in the interest of time, I just decided to keep and install it in the vehicle hoping the the damaged does not affect the intended life of the radiator.The radiator itself was a very high quality product, it fits very nicely into my truck with zero issues and It is built just like the original item. I would highly recommend this product, it fits just like the factory installed part. Although the item was received with some damage I still have to give it a 5 stars because the item itself is excellent and I am assuming that the dents was just a one off situation

I purchased this radiator to replace a cheaper one I had purchased from someone else when he was sent two by mistake. The old radiator I had didn't have as many tubes or fins as this one. I noticed an immediate different in cooling ability from the older radiator to this one. I am not using the built in tranny cooler so can't comment on that as I have a large external I use for my transmission cooling needs. Overall I would recommend this radiator for anyone looking for a good replacement for their OEM one. It is comparable to the stock radiator in the number of tubes and fins. You will need to save all the hardware off your old radiator as this one doesn't ship with any of the mounting hardware.

well I had a leaking radiator checked my local auto parts store. WOW I was a little supprised at how expensive a new radiator was so I checked two other local auto parts stores. To my supprise not much cheaper. And get this no one had it in stock. So the high priced one $ 220.00 plus tax,the least expensive one $185.00 plus tax. they could have it in store the next day from frist store and the others two days. So I thought to myself Ill check Amazon on line. To my supprise they had the radiator I needed and WOW it was only $154.00 delivered to my door in just two days.It just doesn't get any better than that. The radiator was a perfect fit just like factory one,and came with all the hardwhare needed. Very pleased and will check Amazon frist next time I need parts. The Spectra radiator is a good quality one I highly recomend it.

Replacement for 2002 Dodge Dakota, is currently working fine after two months. Compared to original, I can tell not as sturdy BUT I’m happy with the performance so far and value seeing as I repaired it myself saving hundreds.

This is my second radiator for the same vehicle from spectrum. The first lasted one year past the warranty. The transmission coolant line connection machining was off on the top connection as others have noted. I had no quality issues on my first radiator but this one required some careful work to restore the threads and the opening for the tubing at the bottom of the fitting. If it doesn't fit by hand you'll have to work it a bit. The radiator is holding up with no leaks so far. Update: June 2019 - This radiator started running coolant out of the lower left side after 4 months of light use. The warranty will not replace if not installed professionally which is probably the case for most of the sales on Amazon. If you buy this radiator at a retail outlet they will replace it under warranty to the buyer. It makes you wonder if these radiators are a different type of lot.

So far it works just fine. No fitment issues and install went smooth. Quality seems to be OK.
