Tayogo makes innovative products and have improved their customer service and support
The Tayogo S2 is a bone-conduction bluetooth headset that is suitable for general use, working out at the gym, and my personal favourite… riding my bike! With the headset physically touching your temples, the sound travels by vibrating the bones through to the inner ear, rather than as sound through the canal. This is my third Tayogo product. My first being my favourite Tayogo Force bone conduction headset that I use as my MP3 player while swimming at the pool. Unlike the Tayogo Force, the Tayogo S2 is NOT designed for use under water. However, it is sweat proof during regular exercise on dry land.Details:* Sound traveling via bone conduction keeps your ears open so you can still pay attention to environmental sounds. This means that what you listen to becomes an additional soundtrack to the normal sounds of life. To be able to give 100% of your attention to the headset audio, for instance a podcast or audiobook, or a phone call, you must crank the volume high enough to be heard by surrounding users, or wear the headset differently. See tips below.* Tayogo boasts the headset's 7-hour charge with a 7-day standby time. I tested this over the past week by charging it to full, listening for a few hours, then turning it of for a week. When I turned it on again, I was able to use it for almost another hour before the battery ran out. This is a noticeable improvement. My second Tayogo product was a 7-hour headset that started draining as soon as it was taken off the charger. I am so glad the S2 battery drains more reasonably.* Bluetooth v.5 connects to any modern phone and computer. The headset can pair to two devices at the same time. Both my MacBook Pro and iPhone SE remember the connections. However, when my iPhone SE reconnects, the connection isn’t stable and drops out for a few milliseconds every few minutes. To restore the connection, I just have to disconnect and reconnect the headset in Bluetooth settings.* The headset buttons control the headset and playback logically: * Large multifunction button (MFB) on the left temple pad plays and pauses the track playback, and answers phone calls. Double tap the MFB to redial the last call made by the phone. * Three control buttons behind the right ear control the volume and track selection. From front to back, the buttons are: Power, Volume Down/Previous Track, and Volume Up/Next Track. Press the volume buttons to raise or lower the volume. Hold one of the buttons for 2 seconds to select next or previous track. This is a great improvement to the interface, since pressing a volume button repeatedly changes the volume quickly instead of changing the tracks.* The headset fits comfortably and can be worn for long periods of time. The rounded sections fit nicely over my ears and take a lot of the weight off (the headset is actually really light, to boot). Also, the headset fits perfectly under my bicycle helmet, making this an ideal training partner when riding.* Customer support has been fantastic. I send emails to cs@tayogo.com and through the Facebook page, and support answers all my questions. The only outstanding question is whether this headset’s buttons have been designed to trigger voice activated dialing (or Siri, or Google Play) as other common bluetooth headsets. That’s the only function that seems to be missing.I can’t think of anything terribly wrong with this device. I only want to provide some tips:* To listen to your headset audio without distraction, and without turning the volume too loud for bystanders, you can wear the supplied earplugs. I use earplugs when I swim with my Tayogo Force, so this is not new to me.* In the absence of earplugs, you can rest the temple pads on the middle part of your ears. This helped me listen to a phone call.* More about phone calls: the microphone is an ambient mic, so your voice can be heard the best if there is very little ambient noise. For example, make phone calls when you are in a quiet room or a car. When I was playing an outdoor piano in a park, the people on the other end of the call said the piano was drowning me out. When I stopped playing, they could hear me.

Very interesting to use! Great for indoor use. Recommended. Very comfortable.
I just received this package last night. It was nicely packaged. Very simple package. All that came in the package was the headphone piece and a white box that contains the charging cable, a pair of orange/red earplugs, and an instructions book. I didn't even bother to open the instructions book. It was very easy and intuitive to use. I just used my own cable and charged it overnight. In the morning, I powered it up, pushed the "on" button, then connected it to my phone's Bluetooth. It was extremely easy. The phone picked it up very easily. I had never used this type of headphone before, so I didn't know which side was for the left, and which was for the right as there is no L or R letter on the headphone itself. As you can see in the picture, where you see the hump is where you would place the piece over your ears. Then once it goes over your ears, the actual bone conduction piece just sits at the right place above your ears so you can hear the sound. I parked my car, and had to walk about 5 minutes into work. I had the volume up at its highest, but it was a little hard to hear with traffic, standing at the light waiting for it to turn green to walk. So, I would have to say outside, in heavy traffic, if you are standing at the light, it's hard to hear, at the loudest volume. Please note: I was listening to a book. I didn't listen to music. So, I am not sure if that makes a difference. Then as I was walking away from the traffic, still outside, towards my building, I could hear the volume better. Then, upon entering the building, I had to lower the volume, because the sound was quite louder indoors.Pros: It's amazing how the sound part just sits by your ears, but not inside your ears. I listen to music or ebooks all day long. This item is so much nicer than the previous headphones because they were either over my ears or inside my ears. Listening to that all day was uncomfortable. Listening to books and music using this bone conduction headphone is so amazing. There is no pain in my ear or around my ears. I think I have found the perfect headphones to use all day long. Another nice thing about this item is that I have to hear co-workers come by as well as hear the phone ring. This headphone allows me to hear and be aware of my surroundings, as well as hear the phone ring. Also, great value pricing for this type of item. You could by similar priced items and not get the same comfort and quality. So easy to pair and use. I didn't even need to read the instructions.Cons: Because it rests above your ears and also because your ears are allowed to listen to or hear your surroundings, if you use this outside, in loud traffic area, or in loud surroundings, it is hard to hear, even at high volume. Therefore, if you are outside, I would recommend using the ear plugs. This would definitely allow you to hear the music or book much better.Overall recommendation: I really love this bone condution headphone for my purpose of 8 hours a day, indoors use, to listen to a book or music. The way it rests outside of my ears makes it so comfortable to use. I do not feel any discomfort or pain inside my ears. If I have to use it outside, I would surely use the earplugs so I can hear the volume better. I highly recommend this item and am so glad to have found it on Amazon.

Best in bracket open-ear listening experience
These headphones are outstanding. There is nothing in this price bracket that is even close to competitive. I honestly think these perform as well as my boyfriend’s much more expensive Aftershokz.I’ve been impressed not only with the sound quality while listening, but also the quality of the microphone. People on the other side say they can hear me very clearly. These are perfect for the gym when I’m working out with my boyfriend; I can listen to my music while still being able to converse with him.Overall, I highly recommend these if you’re looking for a quality, open ear listening experience.

Hear what's happening around you while you listen to tunes.
Very cool headphones. I got them so I can listen to music while still hearing ambient sounds while i work. I have improved safety with situational awareness. My co-workers don't even know they are on, and they often don't notice I'm wearing them (I have long hair)I'm pleased with the sound quality overall, but I might not recommend these for podcast listeners as the voice quality could be improved, but my music was more than adequate. They are very light and I often forget I'm wearing them. However for long periods my ears still get uncomfortable where the headphones are sitting.Very impressed with the battery life. It says 6 hours, but that must be of continuous play. If you pause your music but still keep them on, they will last longer. The play pause button is super convenient, but on the left side if that bothers you. The control buttons are on the right side but very small and not as intuitive to use. If I want to skip a son or adjust the volume, I find it easier to just pull out my phone. You can pair to multiple sources (phone and computer) and it works most of the time, but occasionally one of my sources will disconnect. Still a cool feature with a few kinks to work out. Perhaps the problem is my other electronics. They go plenty loud (but loose quality at the high end). This is a personal thing, but at high volume my ears start to tickle.Overall, I love them and wear them most days. Love that I can have a quiet conversation with someone and not have to take them off. That I can be rockin' out and still hear a door open behind me. I can go for a jog with my motivational tunes going and hear a car approaching behind me. They are a great headphone for those that DON'T want to shut out the world when they are listening to music.

Great value from these bone conduction headphones
Now, bone conduction isn't quite an entirely novel idea or invention. It has, however, became more commercially available in recent years. Better nano electronics and battery technology have also made it lighter and wearable, more practical for sports or casual use.DOUBTFUL REVIEWSI was doubtful about this product when I saw a bunch of critical reviews saying these are not bone conduction headphones, and that they are just tiny speakers hidden behind plastic wrapping. On the other extreme end, other reviews were stating the opposite. So while I would spend more than a few hundred bucks on wireless headphones or speakers, I'm not ready to spend anything more than $100 on a pair of wireless headphones that typically don't last more than 1-2 years due to limited battery life; I decided to give it a try.BONE CONDUCTION OR NOTIt IS bone conduction as far as I can attest to. I covered up my ears with ear plugs and it actually sounds louder but the headphones have to sit properly right in front of your ears, on the tragus. Doing the same with regular headphones or "tiny speakers", you will hear close to nothing.COMFORT, FIT AND SOUND QUALITYI would have preferred the headphones band to be adjustable, or at least a tad tighter - possibly at a cost of comfort, but for better sound. Otherwise, the sound quality is pretty good but don't expect Hi-Fi quality (for most wireless headphones anyway). I use these headphones for hours of long outdoor running, not for high fidelity listening or noise cancelling. Having said that, I'd say the sound is comparable with most running headphones I've worn over the years, but expect bone conduction to project more on low/mid's, less on highs (sound travels / vibrates less at higher frequencies at the same volume / amplitude) - you will enjoy most Pop/Rock/Vocals more so than Debussy or Paganini on these headphones. Lower frequencies vibrate more and tickles your ears on these headphones. Will update more on the battery life and sweat-proof properties at a later time.

Efectividad y calidad

Great quality for the price, perfect for riding
Bought these headphones to wear riding, so I could have some tunes, but also hear traffic for safety reasons. They work really well, the battery life is strong, over 3 hours before I had to charge and the sound is clear, even when in traffic. They need to be turned up a bit in heavy traffic, but otherwise are fantastic for the price. Would recommend without a doubt.
