Great product - have the kids sit with their backs to you if you can
These study carrells are a good value, and relatively sturdy (for corrugated cardboard). I've been using them in my college courses, where I've recently had a rash of "wandering eyes" during examinations that didn't stop when I would call the students out on it. They are tall enough to keep students from looking at others' papers in close quarters.Learn from my mistakes, though - if you can, have the students sit with their backs to you during the exam. After the second exam when I used these, I discovered that a few students were hiding their cellphones behind the carrells and using them to search for answers.

A good product
I think for the price, they are very useful. Being corrugated, edges can crush easier than more expensive sets, and only the inside is white. The outside is corrugated brownish grey.I could not afford to purchase a set of study carrels if not for this set's price point so im very happy. They are 12 inches high rather than 16 like some more expensive sets, but I prefer it for my 2nd graders because I can still keep an eye on them as I circulate while testing. 16 inches high for young students may allow for unsanctioned activity to occur rather than the focus required. I think they are a good investment if you keep them stacked separately from the students and dole them out only at test time. Im hopeful they will last a few years.

Great Study Carrel, you can fit 12 on two 6ft tables perfectly.
This product does exactly what it says it does. Would of liked it to be a little taller but based on the dimensions these fit evenly on two 6ft. tables to make 12 study carrels which was my purpose as I had to use them on 6ft. tables as you will see in the picture I provided. After extensive research on study carrels these were the only ones that I was able to do that with. I have bought study carrels before where you can fit two to a table, etc. For being cost effective and practical these get the job done. These are of cardboard so you have to be careful not to lean on them or they will bend but if taken care of will last. I have had these for over a year now. When a person is seated it blocks their view to look at anyone else.

Horrible
These lasted two times and I am already wrapping tape around them to hold them together. These are the cheapest folders I have every seen. I am extremely disappointed in this product. As a teacher I have to spend this money out of pocket and two weeks later (only used on two Friday's for spelling test) they are falling apart. I'm so upset and wish I could just get my money back.

On tables in younger grades they would be perfect. They have held up well
These are smaller than some others that are offered. I prefer this smaller size. They work very well for my class (5th Grade) and fit well on the desks. For much younger grades these may be too big unless they are used on tables as opposed to desks. On tables in younger grades they would be perfect. They have held up well. The only reason I did not give them five stars is that I wish there was an easy way to store them. I have them put away in a closet until students need them. A storage box would have been useful. They did come in a cardboard box for shipment only (not storage). That box was damaged during shipping as many shipping boxes are. However, the "offices" held up great!

Cheater defeaters
This school year I was given desks that can be arranged in groups of four. With 40 high school students and a small classroom, groups of four is the only feasible arrangement. This is fine for group work, but what to do when giving a test? I found these carrels on line and ordered 24. The kids love them! They like the privacy it gives them and the A students appreciate that others can't copy from them. The first time I handed them out they wanted to stack them up, make a house , hide in them, etc. silly kids. I only wish my school would have paid for them, but that's not going to happen. They want to decorate them but they'll have to wait until June.

Check the measurements before you buy!
They are too low (my students can see over them) and made of cardboard that isn't laminated on the outside. Although I like the white interior, my students tend to get pencil markings on it. It is also too wide for the tables in my classroom (they are sort of circular). A slightly shorter center part with longer sides would make this fit better. I don't think these will last more than one year since the edges are not reinforced. I should have invested in sturdier carrels. Make sure you measure your tables and consider your students' heights before you buy.

Too low to block students from seeing each other.
They're only 12" high (I didn't read description closely enough) but thought they'd be the taller ones. I can't really use them to tests because the kids can see over the top. Wouldn't order had I realized it.
