VS50542R VC948G Valve Cover Gasket for Toyota Corolla Chevrolet

I've learned my lesson, only purchase a name brand gasket such as Felpro. This sorry excuse for a gasket lasted about 3 months before it started seeping. Here were the steps I took. Both cylinder head and valve cover were cleaned with brake cleaner and plastic scrubbing pad. I used ultra gray silicone on both seams where timing cover and cylinder head meet. I hand tightened all bolts/nuts and waited 1 hour to tighten to final torque. Outside bolts/nuts were tightened to 96 in lb in criss/cross and 2 inside were tightened to 80 in lb. I installed a Felpro gasket the exact same way in October 2019 and it's nice and dry. Learn from my mistake. Don't trust knock off brands.
