Got it as a gift for my girlfriend and she loved it!Excellent quality, durable, matte plastic material and gorgeous and adorable pink color in addition to the strawberry design.The band is super tight and strong and keeps it together. Although I did have to double wrap it for when she would only bring one level of the box to work, so that was a bit annoying, since she doesn't eat enough food to fill up both compartments. I started putting an ice pack in one of the boxes to fix the problem, so it keeps it cold and utilizes both at once.I thought it would include small chopsticks or a small spoon/fork in the top chamber but it didn't. Would have been nice if the small utensil chamber was a little bigger to accommodate for larger utensils since it didn't include mini-size utensils or has little grooves you can pop chopsticks into. I solved this problem by slipping the utensils in between the box and the band on the outside, although it makes the utensil compartment kind of useless.Lastly, although it is easy to clean and the plastic is very good quality, if you have food that can stain clothing easily, it will probably also stain the bento box. So stay away from curry, since that's how I learned my lesson. It's got a bright neon yellow spot that I couldn't scrub off and I'm still trying to figure out a way to get rid of the stain. I'm not sure if bleach will be effective. If there is any way to get rid of stains for this type of plastic, please let me know. It's very well designed and functions well but it's such a bummer to have it stained within its first week of use.

Probably the best built bento box of the few I own. Very sturdy.It can be hard to open, but that's the price you pay for it being leakproof.It's easy to clean. Turmeric does stain it, but turmeric stains everything except glass, so my stains are not a knock on this box.The gray coton is beautiful. I do wish Monbento offered a charcoal gray in the original size to hide stains better.I prefer this original version size over the larger size for most foods with the exception of larger salads and sandwiches.I was lucky to get my hands on a used box in pristine condition at half the price, but it's worth the full price too.

I love my little monbento. It is so pretty. Hold a decent amount of food. Makes lunches seem more special. Easy to wash. I only hand wash. These are leakproof. Just don’t lose the band that comes with it. It can be a little difficult to open the containers individually.

Bought this for helping with portion control and just cutting lunch time expenses. I have not used it quite yet but The container feels great and secure. A touch hard to open if you don't pop the seals which are great. Love the color on this one and the over all foot print is great for a back pack or bag.If this product could make me better at making sushi that would be an auto buy.The dishwasher safe aspect is another great bonus hand cleaning can be a bit of a pain for a product like this if you are looking to save time in your hectic day.I'd probably get another one if my boyfriend took his lunch more.

Very cute and the top is pleasant to touch. Love that you can use one or both boxes together and that it's dishwasher and microwave friendly. I don't think I'd put soup in it, but I've used it with thick curries and other wet things with no leaks at all. The white box does stain a bit with tomato sauce.

I had a huge problem with the exterior of the material. I found that my nail polish would leave marks on the box whenever they touched the box, and they were very hard to remove. Weird, but it was definitely a dealbreaker for me. I think this would be great and more than suitable for most people looking for this style of bento. It is secure, good quality, cute. Definitely best for someone with a large appetite or looking to store more than one meal (and doesn't wear regular nail polish).

A little hard to open but otherwise good size and seals well

Overall, this bento box is so-so. It's stylish (which is what sold me), definitely doesn't leak if the lids are sealed properly, and heats food evenly in the microwave. Three tweaks would make it perfect: should be just slightly bigger/wider, because a standard sandwich cut in half won't fit; the two compartments should lock together so that the band is not critical; and most importantly, the little sauce cup is an essential part of the design but totally useless without a lid. I tossed it and replaced it with a small 2-oz glass container with a screw top, which added to the cost.

I use this bento box for myself but sometimes also for my husband when his bento is in the dishwasher. Very good quality and a good purchase and a very nice, smooth material. Love it!

I like the material and packaging. However some things I’d like to see for the price point: 1. Slightly thicker walls. 2. Would like to have one of the dishes slightly deeper for one rice and chicken meal. 3. Maybe more seal able lids.

Cute lunchbox, it is great for people trying to portion control because it’s not the biggest lunchbox. It has 2 tiers and each tier has its own lid that you can open a rubber stopper for microwaving venting. It comes with a small insert that you can keep something separate from the rest of the food in that tier. It comes with an elastic band that keeps the two tiers secured together. I also love the colour!
