The only noodles I will ever eat
I spent two years in South Korea while in the military. One of the first foods you will probably try when you go off post into the civilian population and stop at an eatery is to order their noodle soup. It seems more appetizing when you look at their menu and are unfamiliar with their food. I ordered a bowl of their noodles and have been hooked on them every since. They make it with a raw egg, some scallion pieces, and some red pepper flakes added to it. Since coming back to the states I've never been able to find anything that comes close in flavor. I've tasted all the cheaper brands on the shelves, chicken flavor, beef flavor, spicy, etc. It seemed like I was eating flavored cardboard. Over 30 years later I came across what I was looking for on a YouTube post by accident. They were grading the different kinds of Korean noodles by texture and flavor. I bought two different kinds that they were grading. One was the Buldak and the other one was the Shin. I bought both to give them a try. I liked the texture of the Buldak noodles but they were just too spicy and didn't have the right flavor I was looking for. I then tried the Shin noodles and knew immediately that I had hit the jackpot. The memories came flooding back after my first bite. Although it tastes just as great without the added ingredients they put in it in Korea, I still add those in. I don't put any scallions in but I do put a raw egg in it which seems to add to the flavor and gives you some protein. I now order these noodles by the case on this site. I highly recommend these noodles instead of those other brands. You will love the flavor.

Best spice mix.
The best instant ramen on the market I believe. We even use it as an added spice in other dishes. As a driver, I am on the road a lot and it fits in my overnight bag to cook in the hotel room at night. Prep directions are correct. I buy it frequently.

XL packs, nice flavor with a little kick!
We love the portion of these, more than just a normal pack of ramen. It's got good flavor, nice packet of spices and veggies. Love how they come separately, too. My man only uses half of the seasoning since he's not a huge fan of spicy things, but uses the whole packet of veg. I am a fan of spicy food. I use the whole pack plus his half lol, gives it a nice kick. Makes me think of my life choices while clearing my sinuses. Came packaged really well, expiration date a year away. I'm impressed, love these noodles, will be purchasing more!! On their own or doctored up how you like them, these are it. After we've had these, we honestly can't go back to the normal size bland store bought ramen packs. Ever.

Shin Ramen
These are my son’s favorite noodles but they are pretty expensive at the store but was able to find them here and $5 less per box. Great value!

Good Flavor, Very Spicy
To set the stage for my review, I do not make much fancy Japanese food of any kind, but I do like the dishes when I go to a restaurant. And we have always loved the cheap Nissin or Maruchan ramen noodle packs in Chicken flavor for a quick light snack or to take when traveling. While those ramen packs do not seem particularly oriental in any way, we do like them and had them in mind when we tried the Nongshim Gourmet Spicy Ramen.First, let me say that I am no stranger to spicy foods - I'm from the Southwest, and I love them. I have never found a dish that I turned away because it was either too hot or spicy. In fact, most folks I know do not enjoy eating foods as spicy as I do. Now that I have said that, I want to note for the reader that I find these QUITE spicy! I would think too spicy for most folks who do not think they really like spicy foods. While the actual palate heat of the dish is only mid-range, the spices used have a tendency to grab you in the back of the throat if you are not very careful how you swallow - lots of coughing can be the result! As for the flavor, I found it quite good, but not remarkable. The added vegetable packet seemed like a nice touch, but really didn't add much (the Nissin Cup Noodles have a lot more). For an instant noodle snack, I prefer the cheaper ramen packs. Perhaps these would be much better if doctored up as shown on the package and like many reviewers say they do, but then it wouldn't be just an instant soup for a light snack, would it?

Delicious
If you love spicy foods this is for you. My teenagers say this ramen is their favorite. You can modify how spicy you want it by adding less of the seasoning pack. We’ve bought multiple cases of this ramen. Its that goid. The texture of the noodles is perfect.

GTM- Go To Meals
Great alternative when cupboard is bare and refrigerator is empty! Since I can't drive anymore, going to the grocery by bus is a hassle. These noodles are great stomach stuffers, but be careful not to add the whole spice packet, otherwise you'll be glowing in the dark because it's way too hot! Just use a tiny pinch for taste.
