Good tension strength, easily adjustable length by rotating rods. Comes in two pieces that you snap in together; minor issue of one if the inner tube bring slightly too thick but with a little more push, snapped in ok even though it stripped off a tiny bit of paint from the end of inner tube which is not visible. Smooth even paint color. Perfect for what needed for hanging lightweight curtains

His curtain rods worked really good but they were a bit small for thought I was using in my kitchen, so I actually had to use one of the pieces from the other one and I only got one instead of two rods

I used these for hanging towels in my kitchen and other items. Super easy to install—just twist to adjust the length without any drilling. Sometimes they fall down if not tightened enough, but overall, they work fine and are very convenient. Great for a quick solution!

If you need these for a 28” opening just keep looking or run to your local store & pick some up that will cost you less than $4 each. I needed these for a 28” space & they are NOT 28” at the smallest point. The smallest measurement is 28.75” (see photo). I decided I was going to deal with it & use them on the outside of the window frame with some command hooks to hold it but since I want to be able to open the curtain this didn’t work because the center where they connect constantly comes apart. They are nicely constructed so I believe if you could use them as intended (as a tension rod) they would have worked, but the way they are constructed they aren’t like a inexpensive tension rod that you can buy at your wal-mart or target which have more give in the tension area since they are all one piece. Tried returning them & even the Amazon supervisor I spoke with said they didn’t have an option to do a boxless return & said that I could pay for one & after the refund gets processed they will refund me for having to buy a box which is RIDICULOUS for a $12 item. So moral of the story- don’t buy these if you need them for anything like I described because they will only cause you unnecessary frustration & run around. I still had to go to my local wal-mart & buy there.
