Use in wide open spaces
This is a GREAT entry car. I used Tamiya products when I was a kid, and this thing is just as fast if not faster.Especially when first learning to drive this, use it in wide open spaces, as things tend to break when they smash into walls at 30 mph. I wouldn't expect this NOT to happen.First thing I would do before driving this is to lower the body mounts. They are higher than needed, and break easily. Once I lowered them, they didn't break. The second thing I'd do is buy different tires. These tires are great on dry concrete, but worthless in the dirt. Very hard to keep from spinning out. The good thing is the wheel mounts come with a standard hex head, and they are 1/10 scale tires, so you have lots of tire options on the market. We have this car, and an Traxxas Rustler, considered by many as the Gold Standard for entry level RC cars. For $100 more (Rustler was 180ish) you get a longer battery life, more upgrade options, a little more speed (2 mph?) and a bigger car.So, if you have 80 to spend, I'd buy this car. A ton of fun, replacement parts are cheap, and many of the parts are interchangeable with other products.

This is a fast moving RC truck and a lot of fun but we have already had to order a replace gear box for it.
