Will it work forever? No. Is that disappointing? A little. But that’s batteries for you. This one works as well as any.

They are not good.
So far 5 of the 8 batteries I bought are dead. To say I'm furious is an understatement. My dogs cannot get out their door. I have debilitating pain and cannot make it to the door in time to let them out. And so they pee on the carpet and now in all this pain I have to clean the carpet almost every other day.
