Flavor:Orange Pekoe Orange Pekoe tea contains no orange. Don't feel bad, it's a common mistake. What it does contain is full rolled leaves of high quality grade black tea. Lower grades of Orange Pekoe are widely used in mass-market tea bags. It produces a robust copper red liquor with a full body and well-balanced flavor. Some say it’s the copper-y color that gave this tea its “Orange” name. Others say it relates back to the Dutch East India Company which may have marketed this tea as Orange to give it a “royal” spin vis-à-vis the Dutch royal House of Orange-Nassau. Insider's tip: We make GIANT pitchers of Iced Orange Pekoe with honey… so simple and so amazingly delicious. This tea is sold loose leaf, meaning it will not arrive packed in tea bags.

Lousy Tea, But.... I'm A Repeat Customer
Decaffeinating tea takes out more than caffeine-- it also takes out the flavor. This is not great tea. I suspect it wasn't great before it was decaffeinated but it would be hard to know. The point is that it's free (largely-- most decaffeinated tea has around .5% (that's half of one percent) caffeine by weight--which is essentially caffeine-free.) of caffeine. And the flavor is marginally acceptable, hinting at Earl Grey. If you are looking for great, decaf, Earl Grey you'll be disappointed--there is none. Not anywhere. Lower your expectations and you'll be satisfied. I've bought this five times before. It's cheap, it's not awful, and I drink it every night when I go to bed. During the day? During the day I drink great tea--- organic, Fair Trade, high quality teas, some marvelous conventional teas. Those I drink for pleasure. This is utility tea. I have no problem highly recommending it for what it is-- serviceable.

Very Good Flavor - Great Color - Enjoyable Hot or Cold!
I purchased Coffee Bean Direct Orange Pekoe Loose Leaf Black Tea,in a 2 Pound Bag in the past and my wife and I enjoy making iced tea with it. For a change I decided to give Tattle Tea a try, even though it cost a little more, $2 more compared to Coffee Bean Direct, I'm glad I did. Both my wife and I like Tattle Tea's flavor much better. It is fresher with no tannin after taste.I also drink hot tea and this is just as enjoyable as the iced tea. I highly recommend this. You will not be disappointed.Update June 13, 2015:I just want to point out for those that may not be familiar with tea labels, "Orange Pekoe" is a term used to describe the size of the tea leaves used. It has nothing to do with Orange flavoring. This is a black tea, no added flavoring or spices, just tea, and a very good one. If you like or wish to have tea with added unnatural flavorings, this tea might not be for you.Update Dec 15, 2016I just want to say that I am still a repeat buyer of this product. I love making what I believe to be the best tasting Iced Tea anywhere. My current way of making my Iced Tea is to use the Best Electric Tea Cordless Kettle with Rapid Boil Technology, 2.0 Liter, Brushed Nickel Stainless Steel Finish to heat 1.8 L of water. Next I put Tattle Tea into this Schefs Multi Cup Premium Tea Infuser - Stainless Steel - Perfect Strainer for Loose Leaf Tea in the Kettle or for a Pitcher of Iced Tea. until 3/4 full and place in the kettle once the water is heated and the kettle turns off the heating. I let this set until the tea cools to near room temp. The Schefs Tea Infuser is removed and emptied. The cool tea is pored into a pitcher and ice is added. Makes fantastic Iced Tea!Update June 18, 2017I just wanted to say I am still purchasing this tea on a regular bases and my wife and I still enjoy this tea very much. I have tried others but we always come back to Tattle Tea Orange Pekoe Black Tea. Great Product.

Great loose tea at a very good price
I decided to give this tea a try since I drink a lot of tea lately and one of my eyes began to twitch uncontrollably and periodically. At first I was skeptical about this tea because of the low price per 2 pounds; I thought that it would be expired or defective in someway, but when I opened the package, took a look and took a whiff of the tea, I knew that it would turn out to be tasty. I brew somewhere between 1.5 to 2 teaspoons of this loose tea per 32oz plastic container and add 8 teaspoons of sugar to it and then put it into fridge and drink it as iced tea.

Amazing!
Excellent tea!I always worry about decaf teas because of the processes to remove the caffeine. But this tea is amazing! I put it above the Bigelow brand that isn’t decaffeinated. I can taste all the different flavors in it. I will be buying from these guys from now on.Note:-I cold brew it. It seems to bring out more flavor.-Some have complained that there is still caffeine in it. The process of removing the chemical leaves trace amounts of it. There is no way around it. But its so small it’s unnoticeable. Its called ‘decaffeinated’ not ‘caffeine free’.

Not very strong.
If you're one for strong tea from India, steer clear. While it's not bad, it's not particularly good. The brew is more yellow than brown. Even after almost 4 minutes @ 200° Its fragrance is subtle and its flavor is just slightly more than whelming. This would be a good brew for someone who likes mild or "American" style black tea.

Earl Grey Would be affronted by the use of his noble name.
Immediately, I knew something was amiss. The tea leaf color was very pale raising questions regarding authenticity. Earl Grey tea is a dark tea leaf, often black. After brewing the aroma was very weak with little detection of the oil of bergamot. The taste, as well as the brewed tea color, was bland, weak bodied and poor.

Tastes like tea!
I recently discovered that I have an allergy to caffeine (which would explain why my skin has itched nonstop for the past many years). Anyways, I loved drinking Earl grey, Assam, and English Breakfast teas but this decaffeinated Earl grey has been a great substitute and is not too weak! I just add a little more (2 tsp of tea per 8oz of water or so) and brew for the recommended 5 minutes, do a couple stirs, add some stevia, and relax~~
