This is the best worm farm. I wish wish wish it wasn't so dang expensive. Was going to drop a star, but really the product is the best one out there. The nesting one I had had lots of gaps and was full of flies and was, well ugly. This one looks nice and stacks without gaps.Complaints are it is expensive and too small without this expansion trays. We have also only had it since Christmas so... I'll update in a year. That's when my last one, the nesting one, started to fall apart.

This was perfect to expand my worm "hotel"--for a while I just added one, because it seemed like the perfect height. It makes it easy to swap out finished compartments for a new one with fresh bedding.

Not much to say except these are the trays you need to expand the Hot Frog Living Composter. These are genuine Hot Frog expansion trays, not a knock off. The color matched my starter set perfectly & I ordered the starter from someone else!

I’ve been vermicomposting for nearly 10 years now. I started with the worm factory 360, then built my own much larger worm bin. I had to move into a smaller home so I bought this. It’s well constructed, allows good ventilation and drainage and looks very discreet in the home.My biggest complaint is that I continue to have fluid drain down along one of the legs of the bin! I ended up placing an automotive drip pan under the bin so I do not destroy the flooring in a rented house! I cannot figure out how/why this leaks but it is very problematic!I’d give this 5 stars without hesitation if it didn’t leak.

This helped me to expand my worms. Also, make it that much easier to have more levels & empty compost without worrying about dumping worms. Gave them room to expand.

It could only work better if the worms didn’t die so quickly

I have been using a plan old bin to keep my worms, I'm very happy to purchase this to extend my worm bin that I got for christmas. It was a tie between this and another system, which I will get later.Worm composting is great for the winter and easy to empty in the spring/summer in time for gardening. Will donate my old bin and some worms to the elementary school.

Hot Frog composter is amazing! It works so well!! After 3 weeks I have so many worms, babies & eggs! System is very effective. Their customer service was ‘beyond my expectations !’

Fits perfectly on my living composter. It came with a block of coconut choir and shredded paper. That was a nice surprise.

Excellent compost system and having the extra trays makes all the difference.
