Great player but could have slight issues in future
This is an excellent vinyl player from my experience, I have it about a month now and no problems so far. The case is attractive and stylish. However I would have slight concerns that the turntable is a bit flimsy, while I haven't had any problems yet I anticipate some in future, although I could be wrong. The speakers are excellent, loud and very clear. All in all quite a good vinyl player for the money you pay

super and attractive piece of equipment!!
Steepletone USB Norwich Retro Record Player with Radio and MP3 Playback - Lightwood
Despite previous reviews we are very pleased with our recent purchase. I have put a line out (from the back of the record player) and plugged the other end of the jack into my iPod speakers. The jack - jack connection cost little more than £1.00. With the combination of all the speakers the sound is magnificent!! My husband is a sixties child and is more than happy to listen to his vast collection of lp's as they were listened to when he bought most of them - though it's nice to have the choice. The radio is good and the SD card and USB additions are a nice touch. This means the aging hippie, his cougar wife and the teenager from hell can all benefit from this unit. Re the 'wobbly turntable - this happened to me. It's because the record only just fits the turntable (33rpm). There isn't any room for error. It fits under the part which raises the arm - not on top! We think this has had a lot of bad reviews because Joe public (as usual, expect £300 worth of gear for £60 or there abouts. With a bit of time, thought and imagination you too could house this unit which looks lovely and is well worth the money paid.

Does it's job
I was pretty anxious due to the reviews I could read about this product but I was not disappointed. The volume is loud enough to be heard in a room, even with noise around. Anyway it is possible to plug on some speakers (I did it with my computer speakers and it works well). As for the SD card it works too. But it doesn't work with iPhones. The quality is good, if the vinyl is not to scratched.

An Impressive player at a reasonable price.
I received this player 3 days after I had ordered it and I am extremely pleased with what came out of the box.The wood seems of a good quality and the front panel looks nice and retro. The SD/USB input and controls are on the left and are sufficiently hidden. The speakers are great for what they are, at the moment I am only using the internal speakers but have bought a mini amp(for £8 on amazon) and will connect two bookshelf speakers to it when I have a few people over at the house and it needs to be louder. As of yet I have not tried the USB input and probably wont but its nice to have the option. The records play great and the action on the arm does not feel so cheap it will just snap at a wrong move.I have not yet used the subwoofer and line out ports yet but will be.All in all I love this and it is a steal at the price. I have spent quite a bit of money on vinyls recently, it has become a bit of an addiction.

Seller doesn't respond to return requests!!!
When we first opened the package and wentto turn on the player it didn't not work. And continued to not work. So I requested to return the product via Amazon and it said the seller would contact me within 48hours about how to return the product! I am waiting on the seller to get back to me yet (1 week later). However, fortunately, we actually managed to get the player to work! Thank goodness. As it was looking like I had just wasted £75! And my boyfriend wasn't going to receive his christmas present! So, if you are purchasing this product, let's hope it works for you, as the seller clearly doesn't respond to "return requests". However,... on the plus side. The record player is really good quality and definitely looks the part and the sound is good. Fingers crossed it continues to work!!

Music to my ears
It took me the best part of 6 months to decide to buy this, I had been looking to get onboard the vinyl revolution for a while but the players always seemed pricey and id heard the cheap ones can damage your records, I eventually took the plunge and havnt looked back.Firstly the player screams vintage which is what I wanted but still has some modern tech built in like the USB port should you need it, the speakers are not great but do the job, you can easily use your own external speakers if u wanted to.The player is easy to use even for someone like me who did not have a clue what I was doing at first.Personally I think this is great price for what you get and is ideal for a start up.Now ive gotta buy all the vinyl I can, but thats hardly a chore

and it's annoying that you can't turn them off when using the ...
Was concerned about this being a cheap pile of rubbish, but the build quality is reasonable, as is the sound (using the line out. The internal speakers are quite tinny, and it's annoying that you can't turn them off when using the line out).I've not tried any of the other features.

Dansette days are here again....
For 70 quid I was not expecting too much - that was the price of a Shure cartridge alone, back in the day..... This is pure and simple tat from China, but hey! - it actually works, most of the time, Set up is simple, with a trim knob for accurate turntable speed and the ability to play any record ever made. Nice. Sound quality is dire but if you can be bothered to wire it through a pre-amp and a 200Wsound system you'll wake up the neighbours and blow your windows out. Personally I find the poor quality sound refreshingly tinny, just like it was on my Dansette in 1965,,,,,
