This is exactly what I wanted! The magnet is quite strong and the claw will pick up anything the magnet can’t. The light is not super bright but very convenient for finding dropped items in dark, tight spots.

This well-designed gadget it very useful: 1. Retrieved a cat toy from my shower drain using both the claws and the light (still works so it must be waterproof) 2. When searching for numerous items my kitten has thoughtfully hidden under furniture too low to vacuum under (sigh), I used the light and the whole gadget to whack the object out into the open (not flimsy). 3. For all the times I drop a screw/nail/doohickey and it invariably falls somewhere I can't see well, I use the light, the magnet AND the claws (you are wondering why you don't already have one, aren't you?) Gave one for a gift and the recipient liked it better than the expensive fancy coffee maker (saves me money!)

Scorpions! So on a hunch, I purchased this to think this would help me catch scorpions. We recently moved to AZ and the house was owned by an LLC that had no idea if there were any scorpions at all. We treated for it. We are at the peak of the season and saw some outside on our rock wall. I tried a few different devices, but on a hunch I thought of this. Soooooo easy to grab these suckers off the rock wall with! Works great! Not a lot of products out there for this. We bought a plastic bug catcher but it’s not good because these scorpions flatten. This is perfect!

I was very suprised by the extremely high quality of this. It's beautifully made with the metal parts made of precisely machined aircraft aluminum. I'm a tool freak with so many tools that it's almost unimagineable. I was also a member of a tool collectors society for many years. I am constantly finding excuses to add new tools. My point is that I know fine tools when I see them and this is truly a fine tool. What's really amazing is the price. I ordered this because the magnet went dead on the one I've had for many years. What a great idea to have the claw and the magnet in a single tool with a light yet!

Exactly what I was expecting and MORE! I did not read carefully enough to see that it has and LED light in addition to the magnet and claw. Seem to be excellent value for the money. Again, exactly what I needed to extract rubber parts out of my riding mower fuel tank. Many more uses to come, I'm sure.
