Awesome Sensory Toy.
The media could not be loaded. As an activities support worker for vulnerable adults, I think this fidget board is a great product. The variety of activities and textures keeps users engaged and entertained. It's well-made and durable, perfect for long-term use. My clients will certainly get a kick out of playing with all the different elements, especially the bell! My old folks at home and myself have been enjoying playing it. It is very relaxing to twiddle with as we walk past it. An excellent gift choice for seniors with dementia or other special needs.

Well made, but not easy to clean
This is a review for the Potatomato dementia activities fidget board.I work with the frail elderly in hospital, and many of my patients have dementia. Funding/staffing issues mean that we are often prevented from giving patients the mental stimulation that they need during their admission and this can result in cognitive decline that does not always improve following discharge. Some hospitals have a variety of activities and fidget toys, but they are rarely deployed as often as they should be and the quality/variety of these items is often lacking. I was therefore really pleased to have the opportunity to test this fidget board. The board includes a number of different activities, requiring different levels of manual dexterity. Even people with very limited fine finger control are likely to be able to manage to use the bell, hourglass, fidget spinner, and abacus, at least to some extent. There are also activities that require quite good fine finger control such as the clips that you can fasten and undo. The build quality is good and the wood is well sanded with no sharp edges or splinters. The overall piece is relatively weighty and the metal parts would pose a hazard if the board were given to a person who is prone to aggression. The main drawback of this product is that it is going to be very challenging to keep clean. There are lots of small parts that are likely to accumulate dust and grime, and the backboard does not have a finish that will prevent staining (especially if it comes into contact with bodily fluids) and it won't allow for easy wipe cleaning. As such, I suspect this item will not be suitable for shared use on a hospital ward, which is a shame.

Great for keeping them busy
My grandad was diagnosed with dementia around a year and a half ago and it has progressed a lot over that time where he now struggles to get his words out and form a proper sentence. He still is active and is able to complete day to day tasks with lots of support and prompting but we find it is important to keep his brain stimulated and this sensory board is brilliant for that. Not only does it support with brain activity and sensory stimulation, it also supports to maintain their fine motor skills and some daily life skills like using a lock and key as well as zips for clothing and Velcro. What i also love about this is that it is age apropriate aesthetic wise. Typically you find that most items that are fidget or sensory related will almost always be marketed for children however this still looks very sophisticated and classy whilst also being a functional fidget board. It is the perfect size to have on your lap or stood up on a table and it is a great way to keep their brain mindlessly busy. I am autistic and I loved this myself the different sensory aspects of it are great and my grandad has really loved this and enjoys having the sensory input despite having limited understanding and capacity now. I really recommend it, the quality is brill.

Very useful and in demand
I lent this out to a Care Home where I have a relative resident. The report back is that it is very popular and has been used by most of the residents. It has a soothing effect as it keeps hands busy and minds focussed. The overall verdict is a very useful piece of equipment for dementia sufferers.

Good idea
This might be a good idea to keep people with dementia who need that activity type. I would however suggest to risk assess before giving a person to use it. Other than that I think that this board provides good stimulation to brain and might help people who are restless.
