I can give one to my dog and it lasts longer than anything else I've found and also calms him.

My dog really likes these! He is a power chewer and it keeps him occupied for hours. The odor isn’t the greatest but I will live with it because he loves it!

Our new puppy just loves these Bully sticks, definitely pricey!! 5 sticks for almost $40 bucks!! I'm down to my last one...going to try a 12pack / different brand for almost $50 bucks I'll let you know how this different brand fares!

My 4 year old miniature schnauzer is 11.5 lbs. I've owned this breed for 20+ years and do research on everything (food, medications, supplements, treats, health conditions, etc) so I'm an experienced and knowledgeable dog owner. My vet says my dog is one of the healthiest and well-cared for in his practice. I've never used bully sticks because I wasn't sure about their safety, but I decided to try them to see if they'd help clean tartar off my dog's teeth (brushing isn't doing a good enough job IMO). So I researched a LOT of brands, read lots of reviews on different sites and chose these from Downtown Pet Supply. Let me stress that all dogs are unique... different chewing styles and strengths, different reactions to food, different tastes and preferences. Here is why these bully sticks work for MY dog. They don't stink. I sometimes catch a "smokey" scent but I've put them right up to my nose and barely notice anything. They don't make a slimy mess. They do get slimy on the end being chewed but since that end stays in my dog's mouth it's ok. If she turns it around to the unchewed end I just give her the slimy end back and she chews on that, no problem. Since my dog has a beard, messy or stinky would be a deal breaker for me. She's chewed on the first stick 4 times for 30-60 min and is now down to a nub, so I'm fairly happy with how long they last. I give it to her and take it away, I don't leave it out. She's totally crazy about it so she'd probably chew on it all day until it was gone if I let her. Doing it for an hour or less 4 days in a row has not affected her stomach or poop quality at all. As much as I hate to waste any since they're expensive (but fairly reasonable in comparison to other brands), as soon as she stops holding the nub with her paws and starts chewing the whole piece in her mouth I'll throw it away. I don't want to risk any choking or stomach obstructions. The product photo shown on the Amazon page isn't what mine look like, see attached. I got the 6" pack of 5. I've attached pics to show size. They're consistent in length and thickness (which are both exactly what I was looking for). I'm very pleased with these. Since we just started using them it's yet to be determined if they'll help remove tartar on her teeth.

I had these on subscription, as the jumbo are nice and thick and last a while. However, my last two deliveries have contained 90% of stick about half the width of the standard, and 10% being about 1/4 standard size. Totally unusable as my dog would literally eat them in 20 seconds. I thought the first time it happened, it was just a bad batch/ an anomaly, however, now this second delivery is the same, it seems not. Cancelled.

My dog loves it.Except it only lasted 25 minutes. Also purchased a holder for it, which is a good idea if you don’t have a smart dog who immediately ripped it out of the holder.

My corgi is quite food motivated and obsessed with bully sticks. He is usually able to devour other brands in about 20 minutes, but these are able to last for several chew sessions over multiple days and he loves them. Definitely recommend for avid chewers!
