Not really built to last
I have had this for about a year now. It was not a very busy year so this rig saw very little use. Yes, it functions much like the real thing. What prompted the review? I just finished replacing the cord. The upside is that the kit included an extra cord. The downside is that there is no instructions on how to do it. Over the year I have replaced the plastic buckle on the belt. One of the support rods came un bolted, pretty simple repair. The padding and adjustments just don't feel as comfortable as the real thing. I didn't buy the real thing nor could I afford to. If you're thinking about getting one of these budget rigs, know that you are going to have to maintain it. Still better than nothing at all.

200 + lbs people beware
[FROM AN EASYRIG MINIMAX USER] With the bottom buckle extended fully, it still manages to squeeze my torso to the point where it feels like it will snap at anytime. The lower back portion of this system should sit snug against your lower back, but no matter how much I adjust the bottom buckle, it doesn't and ends up putting the weight on the strap and therefore my ripping through my belly area. I am not obese by any means, I am just a big guy. After a few shoots I can definitely see this thing snapping. The bag it comes with is cheaply made and barely feels like it can fit this system inside. the moment I took it out I knew it was going to very difficult to get it back inThe parts definitely don't seem like they will last...very very cheap plastics...I wouldn't trust it holding an expensive rig...I guess that explains the price difference from easyrig thoughAlthough it's competitively priced, this thing still doesn't feel like it's worth the cost. $1000 is still a lot go money to invest into something where the plastics are very similar to the plastics found in dollar store toys and the stitching won't last. I'd be surprised if this thing lasted a half a year with decent usage.

Easy
Has some quirks but can hold a lot of camera, not quite as comfy as an easy but more comfortable than not having one.

Gets the job done, very uncomfortable
It technically does the job and is holding up, but the waist belt is incredibly uncomfortable--it doesn't wrap around far enough and so it digs into your hips and causes raw spots. It's better than nothing and so I end up using it, but I typically regret it.The storage bag is also too small to store the unit effectively--you have to really jam it in there every time and half the time it ends up just kinda half in/half out of the bag because it's too much of a process.
