Great for swimming. Very comfortable. Great sound under water. No need to insert in ears.
I highly recommend this bone conduction headphone that is waterproof. I swim a lot and so I use many underwater headphones. Prior to buying this headphone, I had bought a different style of bone conduction that is not waterproof. I also have a review for that item. I will provide the pros and cons as follows:PROS:1. The item came in a very nice black case closed by one zipper with two zipper handles with a small white Tayogo logo on the outside. Once opened each side has a half mesh, one side contains one mesh with one opening containing the headphones and the other side contains has two meshed compartments. The first compartment contains the instruction manuals and the second mesh is separated into three compartments, one holding the charger, and the other hold the extra ear pieces, small, medium, and large. It is so organized. You can use this case to hold everything and it is hard sided so you can toss it anywhere and it will be safe. This is an added feature vs. the previous yellow/greenish one I bought, which did not contain a case. I love this case as it is very well constructed and is very sturdy, good quality.2. Sound quality is superb - I have a similar yellow/green model that is in ear. I love that model. However, the difference with this one is that it is bone conduction, so you place it OUTSIDE of your ears and you do not have to use earpieces to stick it inside your ears. The non-waterproof model was so nice that I decided to try this one. It did not disappoint. Whereas I gave the non-waterproof model a 4 star, I gave this one a 5 star because very interestingly, when you use this bone conduction model underwater, it amplifies the music/sound. It is an interesting phenomenon. I do not understand how that works, but is is awesome. I also like to use an ear plug to keep the water out of my ears so I think that helps to conduct the sound even better.3. Comfort - I have very small ear openings, so whenever I use an earpiece for too long, it hurts. Because this is bone conduction and sits on the outside of my ears, I didn't have any issues. I was able to use any kind of ear plug to keep the water out of my ears, and I have this custom made ear plug that I can use that doesn't hurt. So for me, the comfort aspect was amazing.4. MP3 music loading - Loading music is so easy. I just used a free website and I download then drag the music into the player. At first I didn't know how to do anything. So, I had to email Sam, and he was so patient and helpful. I am very computer illiterate so I didn't even know how to download or drag and drop, etc... to add music. I emailed Sam back and forth and he emailed me written instructions as well as links to videos. He was so patient because I had so many issues being not so good at using the computer. He is extremely patient and he responds very timely, mostly at night when I am at home and available to review the instructions and videos. He is extremely responsive and very detailed with his instructions for someone who doesn't know how to use the computer (like me).5. Entire unit is plastic/silicone feel and is extremely enclosed. This makes me feel that it surely is waterproof. even the opening for the charging unit is very tight. It is so tight that when you have to open it, you have to use your nail to get it to open. This makes me think that everything will be well enclosed where water would not be able to get into the unit to degrade or ruin it. So, I think it will last for a long time.6. Tayogo App - I have an Apple 7 Plus phone and I found the Tayogo app on the app store. I downloaded that and also synced my headphones to it. I can use that to create my playlists, make the music play continuously, or make it shuffle. I love this capability to do all this via the app once I already downloaded the music into this headphone.CONS:1. Takes a little of getting used to. If you have not used bone conduction headphones before, it is a little different, and take a little bit of getting used to because you have to change your mind of thinking that the music will not be conducted inside your ear, but outside of it, on the bone outside your ear, close to the opening/temple. At first it felt weird to me, but after using it for a long time you will get used to it and learn to love not having pain inside the ears.2. For me the tiny opening to open up to plug the charger at first was a little difficult to open with my little hands and if I don't have any nails, it is hard to pry it open. After a while I got used to it. But I totally understand why it has to be tight so that the water cannot get in.BOTH PRO AND CON:1. Bluetooth - I am ambivalent about this so I will place this in both Pro and Cons. I love there is ability for Bluetooth. When I swim, I do not know how long is the lap. If I place my bag with my phone midway, I can swim from one end to the other, minus about 2-3 feet. So, I need to stop two to three feet before I reach each end. If I make it to the end, I won't be able to hear the sound. So, for that I need to be mindful. I swim laps, so my head is not below the water too much, so I am able to hear Bluetooth. It's important to me because I do not have mp3 books. I listen to books via Bluetooth that I borrow from the library for free, so I love this option.PROS FOR BLUETOOTH: Pro is that the Bluetooth is available and you can listen to books or music streaming under water. When you are not under water, the Bluetooth is amazing; no issues.CONS FOR BLUETOOTH: Cons is that the distance is not long and if you go too far under the water you lose the connection. I emailed and asked Sam about the Bluetooth capability and he explained there are constraints. Either way, I am happy to even get Bluetooth underwater. It's still amazing to me anyways.OVERALL RECOMMENDATION:I already have two other styles of this headphone. I use them a lot so I have to have to have more than one. While one charges, I would use the other one because I literally use these headphones all day long, using one non-waterproof one for 8 hours at work, then another waterproof one for at least 2 hours in the water to swim. So, having more than one really helps. I highly recommend this style if you would like to not have to use a style that you have to place inside your ears. Again, the bone conduction sits outside your ears on your bone, and the sound comes through there. I would recommend it highly if you have small ear openings like mine (where even the smallest ear plug insert hurts) and it's hard for you to use a type of headphone with earplugs that can prevent water from getting into your ears when swimming. It does take a little getting used to, but once you get used to it, I think you will love it.Please feel free to email me with any questions and I will be glad to explain/help. I use the Tayogo products daily, and they have so far not disappointed me. I will update if there are any issues. Thank you for reading my review.

Very well designed, but the audio quality underwater is poor.
Quite comfortable, and the features are really great. I bought the Tayogo so I can listen to books and podcasts while swimming. When swimming, the audio is too muffled for me to understand the narrator’s words (but the audio is fine out of the water). I am sad to return the item, because so many of the other features are superior.

GREAT customer service
When these arrived I had some installing the app due to language barriers, but once I figured it out they worked great. They seem well made, are comfortable to wear and sound very good. Wearing them makes my swim workout go by quickly, and I love that. The sound is pretty good, though not as good as more traditional headphones. but they are VERY waterproof. After about 6 months of light use, the volume down button stopped working. I contacted the company through Amazon and they shipped a replacement set with absolutely no hassle. They could not have been nicer.

Waste of money.
The sound is awful, they don’t stay in place, and I regret wasting my money. In order to hear it very well the earpieces have to be pushed up hard next to your ears, and it moves around so much swimming that I was always having to adjust it. I even tried wearing a swim cap over it to keep it in place and pushed up against my head so I could hear it better. Needless to say that was not very comfortable. Huge disappointment. I’d return it but I apparently waited too long so I’m out the $99.

Only lasted 6 months
My only other comparison for underwater music is the waterproofed ipod with waterproof bud headphones. That was an amazing setup, but I lost it in a move. Thinking I could save some money and hoping to be blown away by bone conduction technology, I went for these. I knew my choice was a mistake from the first use. The sound quality is poor, just couldn't get it loud enough, and using the buttons was not intuitive and rather clunky. Listening to music with these was like a whisper in my ear. Underwater the sound was a bit clearer, but it just didn't transport me like my old getup. On the other hand, it was "good enough," so I kept using this device. Eventually the little flap covering the port fell off. Luckily, this happened outside of the pool so I was able to get one more charge out of them, then I duct taped the lid back on to the device. Well, today I went to recharge them and they simply would not charge after I plugged them in. I could kick myself for being penny wise and pound foolish about this. I'm going back to the waterfi ipod--for better sound and better durability. The ipod I had before lasted 5 years without a problem--except that I lost it.
