This unit has the thinnest LED strip I have ever seen, and produces rich, warm light that's as good or better than much more expensive units. It worked flawlessly the first time.Pluses: full spectrum warm tungsten-like output, very bright. Easy to install (tape is more than adequate). Dimmer works smoothly and is very linear. Wires are thin and can be stapled with a wire stapler. Great value for a low price.Minuses: Like any transformer-powered system, the bulky transformer takes up an outlet. Fortunately, it is not polarized so it can be used in either position and not impede the other outlet. There is no way to direct-wire the system. The on-off/dimmer unit is clunky and not very attractive. It's small enough to be hidden under the recess of most cabinets, bit I had to mount it on the edge of the shelf next to the light bar. Not very "finished" looking.In spite of these minuses, I still give it a 5-star rating for doing what it is designed to do extremely well. If you know the limitations going in (as I did) you will be very pleased with the value.

I like the light,it gives off a nice glow. And I like that it has a dimmer. I don't really like that I can't secure the light with screws, but hopefully the 3m sticky will last. The dimmer switch is big and bulky, and the light is flat and slim, seems like the manufacturer could have came up with a better design for the switch. Anyway, when I installed it I had the dimmer switch secured under the cabinet (showing); I hated it. So now I have drill holes where it was, I ran the cord inside the cabinet, to hide the cords. So I ended up putting the switch inside the cabinet, looks better. I will most likely buy more of them. Update, I have purchased more of these lights.

 Got this under cabinet 42 LED lighting specifically for my fish tank. Most fish tank light has only on and off function but I wanted something that can be dimmable and this was perfect. I can make my tank soft or very bright. For 5 watts it's pretty bright And bulbs doesn't get too hot.Great thing it cost under $10.

I bought this to go on the back of my bedside table so I can have a little light without taking up space on the top of the table. It works really well and I like that I can set it to dim or bright.Taking off one star because the dimmer wheel is a little awkward to use. It's an angled shape and it takes about two complete rotations to go from min to max brightness. It would have been better it there was either (1) a wheel you can grip more easily, or (2) didn't require quite so many rotations.

This light has to be one of my favorite Amazon purchases! Unfortunately my house doesn't get much natural light and I have dark furniture. I have a beautiful console table, but anything I display is barely seen because it's too dark. I LOVE this light, turned my console shelving into an instant display cabinet. The light is so thin that you can't even see it mounted, and the light is perfect for displaying tiki mugs that have been hidden away in a closed cabinet. I also love the dimmer. I highly recommend and may buy a second light for another bookshelf.

I bought this light for an under cabinet location. I have it on a timer and set on low so it serves as a nightlight. I love that it’s led, slim, and adjustable, and the price was very reasonable. I loved it so much, I bought a second one within a few days of receiving the first. Unfortunately, the second one seems to be defective. Once or twice a week, it flickers off and on for the first five minutes or so after I turn it on. It happens randomly and is extremely irritating when it happens. I’ve double checked the connections to be sure nothing is loose and can’t find any fixable problems. Also, unfortunately for me, it’s too late to return or exchange it.

I installed this inside my stereo cabinet for my vintage turn table. I had a battery operated light before that was not bright at all. Installation of the light itself was a breeze. The dimmer is terrific and when turned on high, it really is a little too bright for me. So at half way, with the glass door closed I get the glow from this light and from my receiver. With my office desk lamp on along with the stereo cabinet it creates a very warm comfortable feel when listening to some Sonny Rollins or Coleman Hawkins saxophone. Only had it for a week but I am very impressed with this light

I am totally psyched by this purchase! I LOVE this LED light strip! Compared to the nightmare of a hideous looking (and hard-to-install) lighting fixture I previously installed under my kitchen cabinet, this one is sleek, discrete (you barely notice it), easy to set up, and crazy easy to install w/ double stick tape. The lighting is perfect, and is adjustable with a dimmer switch. Great value for money and it looks terrific. I'll probably get another one.
