The mounting plate's size should not matter unless you have an obstruction on the vertical wall ... its ~ 2" x 15/16".

Q: Has others had issues with the vertical adjustment screw? I cannot get it to move at all.

The vertical adjustment is the mounting screws on the cabinet side of the hinge.

Q: What is the minimum overlay for this hinge and plate? Will they work with 1/4” overlay?
