TVS Tyres PROTORQ SPORT XR 140/60 R17 63P Tubeless Bike Tyre, Rear,Black

True to its name Protorq Series Dual Sports tyre does deliver the necessary performance as marketed and serves to perform as intended for both on-street and off road, it gives very aggressive feel on the tarmac and concrete roads, immediately you can feel the change specially if you are coming from soft compounded tyres, these tyres love acceleration , even at low RPMs one can feel the push on the rear thanks to the Radial belt technology which TVS claims to improve performance dramatically and mileage too without loosing grip of the things. It certainly does hold on really well, never for a moment felt I loss of control on the bike even at high speeds, cornering comes with ease on the highways and tackling in city traffic feels a breeze, overall inspiring good handling ability giving rider confidence to maneuver. These definitely work very well on the dry conditions and I am yet to test them on wet surface but I willl do so n update the review further. For now Ride quality initially feels bit more stiff and commands to be in sporting stance when compared to riding on the Mrf zapper series tyres which are more comfortable for the ride with relaxed sense of stance but also has its down side of lower durability as gripping takes away lot of the rubber n more prone to punctures while Protorq feels more like 70% is on harder side n 30% is softer compound in the mix to balance out the dual nature of the tyre for both on road n off road conditions giving it higher durability and necessary stiffness for acceleration as well as great gripping ability due to radial belt technology at the centre n overall makes less prone to puncturea. Threading pattern on initial look provides deep groves waving outwards from the radial should help to expel water on wet surface and to tackle gravels easily away, but also adds to its stability as groves on the tyre contract for better frictional efficiency on various sorts of surfaces, for cornering rounded profile works in its favour which feels sporting enough to ride at higher angles easily. Once these tyres are warm and running at High RPM feels really free flowing to ride on. Be it single seating or dual sitting ride, feel about the tyre and ride quality is barely affected. For the price bracket they come in, they certainly justify thier worth, one can totally rely on these, tested them on Gixxer 155 and I am convinced they are best bet you can have for mid range budget and they perform as Good as any premium range tyres you can think off. Give them a consideration before one might discard them as just another eurogrip tyre. Nice product but they didn't included the air knob

Have used the tyre for the past 5 years and was satisfied by the quality and grip it offers so ordered again and as expected it does what it has to offer.Mrf and apollo tyre too may be good but their sidewall are soft and prone to damage but this tvs tyre does not. Provide excellent grip in dry and wet road and has better stability. For 3k its good and recommended. If you want the best go for Michelin pilot series tyre they're the best. But for the price which i brought, you could not go wrong with this tyre too.

I own FZS,after Installation I was not satisfied with the look of width of the tyre,it's size is perfect 140/60 but width is not flat as FZS tyre have (MRF & CEAT),this TVS tyres are curvey due to which bike height gets rise,It's perfect for GIXER but won't recommend to FZ & FZS owners, especially who loves to see the look of width of the tyre,If width look doesn't matter,Then u may go for this tyre becauseIt's provides quick cornering, feels like heavily tested but it takes time to get heated up

Road Grip for Yamaha FZ S V2 is very poor, skety on wet surface. Would not recommend this to anyone for atleast Yamaha FZ S V2.
